Club Warehouse Director Rob Duncan has signed up for the Medibank Melbourne Marathon. His training is underway and he’s got 11 more week until D Day – Sunday, October 18th.
Each week he’ll be catching up with either his running coach, MIchael Pratt or his physio, Sharbil Wehbe to check in on how he is going with training, injury management/prevention and what products he’s using to help keep him in peak physical condition.
It’s important that Rob doesn’t injure himself as he’s also signed up for the Half Iron Man in 2016 – a sucker for punishment some might say!
Rob’s enlisted the help of Michael Pratt -head coach at ASF Sports.
Michael works closely with individuals and groups who are wanting to get the most out of themselves in a fun and supportive environment.
He’s no stranger to elite activity – he is a prominent age group triathlete, World Championship medallist & Australian and Victorian Champion. He also coaches swimming, cycling and running sessions within the Yarra Triathlon program which offers over 20 group sessions per week and Michael provides additional group and individual sessions. With a sports science background and over 15 years coaching experience he has had great success in coaching all abilities from the complete beginner doing their first race to the elite athlete competing at World Championships, and has helped over 100 athletes achieve their goal of being selected to Australian teams at both elite and age group level.
Rob is in pretty good hands!
Check out their first interview talking all things hydration and Rob’s Marathon coaching program.
11 weeks out Rob will be focusing on gradually building back endurance and how to maintain energy levels during the long runs.
